FOUNDERS
Nicholas Marine
Co-FounderNicholas was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, with half his family originating from Italy. After graduating from Wharton Business School, Nicholas built his real estate and finance career in the United States, working as an investment professional in New York for private equity funds including Starwood Capital Group, and most recently Monarch Alternative Capital, a $16 billion private investment fund. Prior to founding MAR Nicholas was head of European Real Estate based out of London, managing a $3 billion portfolio of assets across Western Europe and North America. Nicholas brings deep institutional knowledge of real estate valuations and negotiations, alongside a large network of foreign capital and investors.
Tommaso Mardegan
Co-FounderTommaso was born and raised in Milan, and moved to London after school to pursue a career in the hospitality world. Tommaso launched his career at Protravel International, one of the world's leading luxury destination management companies, where he was promoted to head of business development Italy. In 2019 Tommaso founded N2S Italia, a destination management company focused on ultra high-end rentals and experiences across Italy, which has rapidly grown to be the leading player in the high-end Italian rental market. Tommaso brings a network of over 400 of Italy's most exclusive homes alongside hundreds of high-profile international clients.
